This photograph captures the famous "1 Love" graffiti on the former Twyfords Etruria Works on Garner Street, Stoke-on-Trent, during the factory's demolition in 2026. Framed between concrete beams, the giant black and white letters stand out against the old red brickwork, with smashed windows and demolition rubble just below and pigeons still perched along the parapet.
Built in 1912 on land bought by Thomas William Twyford, on a site that had once been the winter quarters of the Barnum and Bailey circus, the Etruria Works made sanitaryware for Twyfords until production ended in 1990. After a devastating fire in December 2012 the empty factory became one of the city's best-known derelict landmarks, and the "1 Love" graffiti a familiar sight to urban explorers and photographers. This image records its final days, a piece of Stoke-on-Trent's industrial story captured just before it disappeared.
Prints: Available in A5 (with a subtle white border), A4 and A3, printed on premium 230gsm archival matte paper for exceptional, reflection-free detail.
