The image surveys the sprawling Tittesworth Reservoir, a significant part of Staffordshire's water infrastructure with a past stretching back to the Victorian era. Constructed in the late 1850s and expanded in the 1960s, the reservoir was developed to address water scarcity for the burgeoning populations of the industrial Midlands.
The remnants of a derelict building in the foreground stand as a silent testament to a bygone era, perhaps once connected to the local rural economy, now overshadowed by the modern utility of the reservoir. Today, Tittesworth serves not only as a water source but also as a recreational hub, blending its historical utility with the natural beauty of the region.
